Welcome!
You want to learn about Modelica language and FMI standard? You are in the right place!
What is in there for me?
With this series of articles, I try to bring you all the knowledge you need to understand the topic progressively.
These are all articles from my LinkedIn Newsletter: Learn Modelica & FMI. These are short articles that you can read during your break. So the articles are rather short and sequentially growing in complexity.
Hopefully, you’ll learn about Modelica and FMI, and also more generally about modeling and simulation. Many concepts are generic enough for you to learn them here and apply them independently from the language or tool you are using.
Why having the articles also as a separate website?
For a couple of reasons:
- For convenience: it might be simpler for some to read them in such a format than on LinkedIn.
- For readability: these are here written in markdown and this allows for additional capability - especially when it comes to code.
- For contributions: as all the website is hosted on GitHub, experts can contribute to improve the content. Sometimes a few added words can clarify a sentence or some small additions can lead to great insights. I am open to your suggestions!
Unless you want to read a few lines about me, this is where (and when) it all began ->
How to go through this website?
There are three main ways to go through the content of this website.
- The first way is to read the short articles in the order they were published. Start here, and at the end of each article, you’ll see a Next -> link, that will bring you to… the next one!
- Another way is to just look at the left navigation bar and check for topic of interest. And just go through these. They are not necessarily ordered by publication date because I separated the Modelica and FMI articles. So, if you only want to learn about FMI, go there directly and check only these articles.
- 🚧 The third way is not yet ready. 🚧 I am planning on adding a “cursus” that would take the articles in a slightly different order. I have written (and keep writing) the articles based on what I feel is interesting at the moment and don’t want to put all the theory right at the beginning. It could however be convenient - from a learning perspective - to have these in a slightly different order. This will be available in the future.
Who are you?
We are not here to talk about me… And in case you are interested, I have put together a short bio for you. And of course, you can find me on LinkedIn.
